Scholarship Announcement
Applications are now being accepted for the Francis Sanders Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship was established in 1974 in honor of Francis Sanders who was a founding member of the Terre Haute German Oberlandler Club and served as the Club’s first president. Francis was deeply committed to teaching the German language to young people. The scholarship is awarded based on demonstration of academic excellence and financial need.
This one time, $750.00 scholarship, will be paid directly to the qualifying university, college, or institution in which the recipient is enrolled at the beginning of the Fall semester of the 2025-2026 school year. The scholarship may be used as payment toward tuition, books and other related academic fees. The Club reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to award multiple scholarships.
