Thank You for a Great Annual Picnic!
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Annual Picnic on Saturday, August 15th. The rain held off and we were able to enjoy a nice time together.
From good food to lively conversation, corn hole, bingo, music, and the mini‑Biergarten, the entire event was filled with Gemütlichkeit. It was wonderful seeing members old and new, families, and friends relaxing, laughing, and making memories.
We were please to use this event as an opportunity to reinstitute the Club’s past practice of formally initiating new members. New (or relatively new) members initiated yesterday were Tony & Margaret Altvater, Bret Bingham, Dave & Emily Hudgens, and Brittany MacDonald.
Your participation and support in events like this are what make gatherings like this so special. Whether you brought a dish to share, helped with setup, pitched in during cleanup, or simply came to enjoy some time together, we appreciate every one of you.
Thank you again for helping make this year’s picnic a success. We look forward to many more events together.
Thank You for Making Strassenfest a Success!
Thank you to everyone who joined us for Strassenfest on May 2. Your support, enthusiasm, and festive spirit made the day truly special, and we are deeply grateful to all who came out to celebrate the Wabash Valley’s strong German heritage.
A very special thank‑you to the students studying German at Terre Haute North and Terre Haute South, who generously volunteered their time throughout the day. We are equally grateful to the West Vigo Drama Boosters for staffing the admission ticket booths and welcoming guests with such enthusiasm. We also extend our appreciation to the many other volunteers—friends, families, club members, and community supporters—who stepped in wherever help was needed. Strassenfest would not have been a success without your collective hard work, energy, and willingness to serve.
A special thank-you goes to our members who helped plan this event, prepared the wonderful food, and worked tirelessly to make Strassenfest a celebration of our community’s German heritage. Your dedication and countless efforts behind the scenes were essential to the success of this event, and we are sincerely grateful for all that you do.
We also extend our sincere appreciation to our sponsors. Your generous support and partnership were instrumental in making Strassenfest possible, and we are deeply grateful for your contributions to the success of this year’s ‘fest.
Finally, we would like to extend our sincere thanks to our vendors for their participation in Strassenfest. Your time, effort, and dedication contributed greatly to the success of the event, and we are truly grateful for the role you played in making the day so enjoyable for all.
Danke!
